TESTIMONIALS
Peru is an absolutely amazing place. Her beauty shines across the glistening land, her loving
energy radiates from the mountain tops and she holds such sacred treasures. There are
magnificent Incan temples, sparkling waterfalls, inviting mountains and wandering ancient trails
to explore. The music of her kind and gentle people can send your soul soaring, like the
Condor, among the clouds.
All of this magic is magnified by guide Juan
Miranda. Juan is so knowledgeable about the
culture, land, people, history and spirituality of
Peru; his vast knowledge provides answers to
any and every question imaginable. Juan is
extremely patient which instantly eliminates
any concern about climbing the trail ahead or
the stress of hurried life. His temperament truly
compliments any personality. He caters to the
needs of his group be it a journey of adventure,
spirituality, history etc. I simply cannot say
enough about this intelligent, gentle, loving man I now call my friend.
I know in my heart I will return to Peru many times and that Juan, my dear friend and brother,
will be at my side to reveal more of her treasures.

My husband and I toured with Juan for 6 days throughout the Sacred Valley in May 2008.
We had an exceptional time. We went to temples, such as the Temple of the Frog, where
tourists seldom visit, as well as to the well known sites, such as Pisac and Machupicchu. We
picked up local school children walking back home and had a wonderful time testing our
Spanish and their English.
We asked local residents where long-forgotten ruins were and
visited them, seeing the Inca descendants herding sheep and weaving textiles in the same
mode as their ancestors.
Both my husband and I have a meditation practice, as does Juan.
Juan would take us to very special places each afternoon
to meditate.
We meditated in a sacred cave, atop sacred
rocks, deep in a temple, at the bottom of an agricultural
site, and on the edge of ancient terraces. Each
meditation site was very special and enriched
our visit to Peru in ways that we never
imagined.
We also had the opportunity to
meet with Juan's Shaman, Heramno Vidal ,
who shared with us his hopes and concerns
for the future of the world.
This was also an
adventure of a lifetime for me. Although I walk with crutches, Juan and his
assistants provided me with just enough support and reassurance that I was able
to climb to the top of every ruin and to the bottom of every valley that I wanted to.
He helped me feel empowered and capable of doing everything anyone else was
able to do. That, for me, made this experience priceless. We both recommend
Juan to anyone with a spirit of adventure and a quest for understanding other
heritages.

I first met Juan on a visit to Peru in 2004. It was my first time in South America and had no
idea what to expect. I travelled by myself and hooked up with a group from around the
globe. Juan Miranda was the guide. For two weeks we toured ancient sites and mystery
schools and Juan shared his knowledge and connections with nature. We met many of his
friends, some of whom travelled with us at different times.. I returned to Peru in 2007 and
again toured with Juan. This time it was a group I had put together and engaged Juan to be
our guide. He was outstanding, giving each person the attention and understanding they
required. Juan showed his strength of character in many ways throughout our 16 day
journey. Each one of us left for home with many new friends and a renewed faith in mankind.
I feel Juan is a special angel in our world sharing his love.
I am leaving for Peru yet again. Next month my daughter and some friends are flying to Lima
and meeting up with Juan. I am excited about the trip and in total gratitude for this
opportunity.

I am not usually one to take a guided tour, but Juan, as an independent tour guide,
provided us with experiences I never could have found as a lone traveler. With a tour
maximum of 12 people, the attention he gave us was individual and caring. With his
contacts our tour was joined by other Peruvians who were there to take care of us. At
one point we travelled with 5 Peruvians, to the envy of large tour groups we
encountered who numbered 30+ travelers with one tour guide and could only visit the
major tourist traps and eat in larger tourist restaurants. We were taken off the beaten
path to visit many unique and wonderful places, we ate at fun and interesting
restaurants. For part of the tour our tour guide had an assistant, we brought along a
massage therapist who provided in-room massages ($35 for 90 minutes and
AMAZING), we had a Shaman with us to provide Spiritual Insight to the deep
Peruvian culture, and our driver Carlos was a gem.
Juan can arrange travel for couples and he is a very affordable tour guide, and he
organizes incredible tours for groups - maximum of 12 travelers! (My group had 8).
He can also provide accommodations and dining to suit your lifestyle whether you are
looking for 3* or 5* travel, and he is an experienced jungle guide as well, having
himself come from a jungle community.

"Hello ...I had been planning to go to Peru for many years
and it was wonderful to finally be there. As I am particularly
interested in pre-Incan temples, I was glad that we could
visit some of these sites.
I really enjoyed the fun and laughter in the group, but also
was able to spend time on my own which was great. I
particularly appreciated meeting Juan. He is a really nice,
caring person. Our spontaneous talks about all sorts of
deep subjects (from Peruvian spirituality, to Incan culture,
to UFO's) was one of the highlights of this trip....it made
me want to come back again to uncover other parts of Peru, such as the jungle for example..
Juan has a wealth of experience, knowledge and stamina. I would recommend him to anyone
traveling to Peru to see more than just the usual touristic places."

Juan was an important guide on a recent trip I took to Peru with a large group of
spiritually motivated people. Juan proved to be a major link between the U.S. group
organizers and Peruvian contacts, and could not have been more valuable in arranging
money exchanges, coordinating visits with local artisans and working hard to fulfill
any needs of those in our little band of adventurers. Juan was most caring and
solicitous of those in the group who were older and/or had physical limitations, and
saw to it that they achieved their goals in visiting all of the difficult sites we visited.
He was patient, encouraging and kind to everyone. In one instance he went back up
a mountain to find a stray person who had been delayed on the trail, and when she
arrived back before he did and the bus left, he "ran" for miles to reunite with the bus,
his good humor intact. His wealth of knowledge about Peru, its history, myths,
spiritual beliefs, etc. is encyclopedic and interestingly presented. His humanity was
also evident in his practice of gathering up uneaten foods which he later distributed to
needy people in whatever place we
happened to be in! Juan loves his country and is able to help visitors appreciate Peru
through his enthusiasm. He was a pleasure to be with at all times, and I would be
happy to travel with him at another time.

Juan Miranda was one of the guides on my recent pilgrimage to Peru. Juan's assistance was
always there. He anticipated every need and seemed to notice every potential challenge.
Juan is a delightful and attentive guide and I would recommend him to others, especially
those who are looking for a spiritual dimension to their travels in Peru.
